Full Body Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic in simple terms means "effective use of the hands". Our treatment methods include removing the subluxation complex and other fixations found at all the joints of the musculoskeletal system. We also focus and encourage active patient lifestyle, by addressing joint fixations in the extremities as well as in the spine.
We utilize a wide range of treatments when delivering this type of health care. This is a mixture of techniques, both at the spine and the extremities. We have learned that the diversified approach allows us to customize treatments for best results for each patient rather than universally perform one particular method of care.
Other techniques include:
° Diversified

° Chiropractic Biophysics
° Gonstead

° Extremity Adjustments
° Low Force Cervical Adjustments
° Using Sacro-Occipital Technique
Rehabilitation
Weight training, exercise, and stretching techniques related to chiropractic and physical therapy help support an active and healthy lifestyle.
Injury and trauma result from accidents, surgery, postural problems, repetitive strain and any other physically compromising situations. In order to get the most effective and efficient results for each patient, a custom tailored routine, incorporating in their normal everyday lifestyle. This optimizes the speed of rehabilitation and encourages a healthy lifestyle.
In order to achieve a desired result, the body needs to perform activities that it is not used to performing or not strong enough to perform. By targeting the weak areas, by both fitness and daily activity, the body will respond most rapidly and with the best results.
At Back to Health Medical Center, we specialize in helping patients recover from injury while continuing to progress in other aspects of fitness to achieve their goals. The benefits of this treatment method are two fold. One, it makes the therapy more effective, and two it requires less treatment and promotes quicker healing. This is extremely important when a person wants to live an active life style with no limitations.
Cause and Affect of Each Vertebrae
"Mouse over" the label (1C, 2C, 3C, etc.) of each vertebrae for a description of the area that vertebrae affects and what symptoms may occur. Due to the complexity of the nervous system, only the most basic anatomical and physiological relationships are shown.
LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPYLLLT is popularly used for soft tissue injuries, joint conditions, chronic pain, non-healing wounds and ulcers, post-op pain and acupuncture. LLLT, or Low Level Laser Therapy as it is often called, is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries or lesions to improve wound / soft tissue healing and give relief for both acute and chronic pain. First developed in 1967, it is now commonly referred to as LLLT. LLLT is used to increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair; give pain relief; resolve inflammation; improve function of damaged neurological tissue and often used as an alternative to needles for acupuncture
The red and near infrared light commonly used in LLLT can be produced by laser or high intensity LED. The intensity of LLLT lasers and LED's is not high like a surgical laser. There is no heating effect. The effects of LLLT are photochemical (like photosynthesis in plants). Red and near infrared light can affect cell membrane permeability and aid the production of ATP thereby providing the cell with more energy which in turn means the cell is in optimum condition to play its part in a natural healing process.
EMS (TENS)Muscle Stimulation
This type of therapy uses light electrical pulses that are transmitted to specific areas of the body through electrodes placed on the skin. There are many different types of electrical stimulation. Some are more beneficial for pain relief or to reduce inflammation, some for muscle spasm, and some actually cause muscles to contract in order to reduce muscle atrophy. Some have combination effects.
TENS
A TENS (transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation) unit is a small, battery-powered, portable muscle stimulation machine that can be used at home to help control pain. Variable intensities of electric current are used to control pain. This treatment is recommended to help patients get through periods of severe (acute) pain. TENS units are typically not recommended for chronic pain.
° Muscle Reeducation
° Relief Of Muscle Spasm
° Increasing Range Of Motions
° Disuse Atrophy Therapy
° Increased Local Blood Circulation
CRYOTHERAPY AND COMPRESSIONIce therapy is often used to reduce swelling and help control pain immediately after an injury. Heat therapy is used to relax the muscles and increase circulation and can provide relief to patients with chronic pain. Depending on the patient's condition, a combination of ice and heat can be used.
Cold compression therapy combines two of the principles of R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) to reduce pain and swelling from a sports or activity injury to soft tissues. The therapy is especially useful for sprains, strains, pulled muscles and pulled ligaments.
ULTRASOUNDTherapeutic ultrasound is a form of deep heat therapy created by sound waves. When applied to soft tissues and joints, the sound waves are a form of micro-massage that help reduce swelling, increase blood flow, and decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms.
