Board Certification
Family physicians practice the specialty of Medical Science concerned with the physical, emotional, and social health of the entire family, from infancy to adulthood. Family Medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of health services ranging from preventive healthcare to diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Family Physicians understand the many factors that affect the growth and development of the entire family. Because the welfare of family members and adolescents is heavily dependent on the home and family, family physicians support efforts to create a nurturing environment. Such support includes education about healthful living and guidance for both patient and parents. Family physicians participate in the community to prevent or solve problems in the health care for family members and adolescents. Family physicians are uniquely qualified to provide care for the entire family due to their specialized training and overall concern for their well being. All family physicians in our office are Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and have achieved this certification by completing an additional three-year training program combined with rigorous testing.
Trigger Point Work:
Trigger Points are areas of hyperirritable muscles that cause pain. Our physician is trained in Trigger Point work and will be able to diagnose acute or chronic pain caused by these trigger points. These little areas of pain can cause headaches, neck aches and backaches, as well as many other types of pain for long periods of time. Many instances trigger point pain is thought to be attributed to other causes of pain and are not usually directly treated. At Back to Health Medical Center we feel that the best treatment is one that embraces a well-rounded approach for each of our patients thus offering the optimum potential for the most desired results.
